Hello and good evening to you. I am new obviously to this forum but I need help as I cannot take my sissy to the vet. She has a large wound on her leg that started out about three years ago took her to the vet and they said it was a pus pocket of some kind well she popped it about a ear ago and it had brown reddish blood pus I cleaned it with peroxide and put mapricin antibiotic ointment . I got the thing down to about a quarter then she got some flease from outside from my daughters dog. I didn' know that this happened so I started treating her as soon as I found out for the fleas as well as our cats and dogs . needless to say the fleas got on the small wound and she started nawing it till it was bloody the it started to get bigger. . now its about 2 1/2 inches long and about an inch high off her leg . we went to the pet store and they said put liquid bandage on it but when we pick up the bottle she freaks out growls or tries to bite us when we try to spray it on her. She never bites . so is this liquid bandage stinging her? I don' want to hurt her anymore than she' hurt already I want to help and get it smaller. It looks like over colligen lips and I'm worried its cancer cause it looks like what my cat died from about 20 yes ago . does anyone here know what cancer would look like on her she is a pug/mini Datsun. I have no money to take her to the vet so any advice that is available I'm willing to try my husband and I will be devastated if she has to be put down. She is old but we don' want her to suffer but buddy our mini datsun boy will not live long if she is gone we don' want to lose either. Thank you in advance for any advice and I can answer any questions cause I do the doctoring of her and the animals and give bathes and stuff.

See if you can get credit care to get that dog to a vet. We are not vets.

    Doris,

What you describe does sound like a malignancy but I am not a Veterinarian and I am not licensed to practice Veterinary medicine. I am offering an opinion based on my experience as having bred dogs and on my educational background in Animal Husbandry.
