I would like to take a minute to encourage our community to feel free to post up your own news articles.

In the past this was primarily done by the staff members, in an attempt to keep the forum active with fresh content.. Over time this has become a time consuming and tedious chore.. I believe from here forward the amount of news posted on this site should be directly influenced by what the members contribute as relevant or interesting to the theme of this site.. specifically pets. and of course the same with our BSL forums..

We do however request you follow a few simple guidelines..

    Posting News

When posting news make sure that the story is relatively new. It should also be related to the topic of the Canine Chat sections you are posting on. (News/BSL) Whenever possible always link to the original news source.

    Posting Articles

Articles should be of interest to the community and be professional and well written. The story type “Article” should only be used for objective or informative journalism.

    Sources

When posting a story always link to the original source of the story. Many websites recycle news from other websites, so whenever possible try and track down the true source of the story and use that site’s story as the basis for your news post. You can still give credit to the website you first found the story on by putting their address in the “Credit” form.

If your story links to a website that is not in English you should link to a translated version of the story using Google Translate.

Internet forums and message boards do not normally qualify as a reliable source. However linking to screenshots, Images and videos posted on forums is ok. You can also link to forum posts if the post is made by an industry professional.

    Responsibility

Be professional and responsible when posting news stories. Members who misuse their posting powers or fail to post news according to the sites guidelines will risk having their accounts degraded and will no longer be able to post news.

They are fantastic, I hope over time the community will also contribute to these areas, And considering your own home page blogs are original and for the most part exclusive to us, you get a big fat A+ ;)
