Hi, I bought a 3 month old puppy from an Amish farm 2 weeks ago. She is a Blue Heeler. I believe they had her just locked up in a dark horse barn alone and she must have also been abused too. She pees on herself constantly when I am near. She wont play with toys, take food from my hand or come near me. Everything makes her afraid, noises, me, anything. She will run, get in a corner and just stay there. She only wants to sit in her crate/corner. I have never had a puppy like this. I am so very disappointed and I dont know what to do. I'm ready to just sell her. Am I not allowing enough time for her to get used to her new "good" life? It's getting to be an impossible relationship. I cant move around her or take her out of the crate. I should be training her to sit and having fun right now. This isn't working. Please help.

Give her time to adjust. She came from an abusive situation. When she's in her crate, just sit on the floor next to her with some treats. Put a treat on the floor next to the crate and leave it there while you sit nearby. Don't force her to do anything. Be patient.
