My personal "opinion" is not directed at any single person it's a generalized statement for anyone coming on here, if a groomer came in on our sight they would be offended perhaps, and we could loose a valuable resource. I just requested, like admin says, it is hard to put a comment on computer, and make it seem "soft" or "in general", we don't lump everyone together, there is good and bad everywhere. I am sorry you have had bad experiences with Petco or PetSmart. I do know quite a few groomers in PetSmart and know the Academy Instructor, and their criteria and rules. I also know a few private groomers and they are not someone I would go to either, just from their attitude and personality, it turned me off. I didn't say all had to agree with my opinion, I was making a general statement, we need to be civil. This is what I was trying to be, sorry if I offended you, you can put you personal opinion on here. When I do I put IMHO: so those reading here can see I am either judging or making my opinion known and it is mine alone, I don't talk for ALL Certified trainers, they have their own opinion too. I just don't want to offend anyone visiting as a guest.
