Hey, guys! I have a question and was hoping maybe someone could help me out.
I'm obviously going to take Bodhi in to the vet for this but I wanted to see if anyone could give me some insight about what I was dealing with in the meantime.
Our Boxer, Bodhi's ear just went bald! Like.. today! I JUST now noticed it. I swear it wasn't like that earlier today. He does have just a little bit of skin allergies and we use a hypoallergenic shampoo on him, so I was just wondering if this is part of his allergies? I've never had a dog with skin allergies before and his are so mild that I wouldn't have really even noticed he had allergies had I not seen him constantly licking at his feet and his skin...

When you bring a pet into your life, you begin a journey - a journey that will bring you more love and devotion than you have ever known, yet also test your ...strength and courage.
If you allow, the journey will teach you many things, about life, about yourself, and most of all, about love. You will come away changed forever, for one soul cannot touch another without leaving its mark.
You will learn the true measure of love - the steadfast, undying kind that says, "It doesn't matter where we are or what we do, or how life treats us as long as we are together." Respect this always. It is the most precious lift any living soul can give another. You will not find...
Jeri and I were at dinner last week with some friends who recently lost their dog. Their dog had an electronic anti bark collar that they wanted to sell because they're now empty nesters who don't plan to get another dog. Our host told the story about taking the anti bark collar to work to show to a coworker who was interested in it.
He describes how it works, showing how to turn it on and off. The coworker is looking at the two prongs on the collar and asking why they're there. He puts the collar against his throat to show how contact is made and then attempts to tell how those prongs zap the dog when it feels vibration from the vocal...

“Poisoning occurs because animals are attracted to the sweetness of antifreeze and engine coolant,...
A team of golden retrievers made an 800-mile journey from the Chicago area to Newtown, Conn., over the weekend to comfort those affected by the recent school massacre.
Lutheran Church Charities deployed about 10 of the canines Saturday evening for residents who want to pet them while they talk or pray with the dog's handler, said Tim Hetzner, president of the Addison-based organization.
“Dogs are non-judgmental. They are loving. They are accepting of anyone,” Hetzner said. “It creates the atmosphere for people to share.”
